Get a plate of Glass and check all the shift rods for bends. measure all the forks for spec. clean all the bearings with brake lean and oil lightlly then inspect for and roughness or wear.

Going to be tearing the bottom end in half this weekend on the zilla. Pete has the cylinder. I am going to be putting in the over ride transmission. Is there any tips you can give me as to what i need to look for or any problems i might have. First time doing it. So anything will help.

little frustrated after talk about 500 engine other day got q-pipe on 250 thanks to another member just wondering about putting hybrid on hold and running the 250 that being said what would you recomed doing to it.run 87 or 89 have both cylinders would resleve weld and port maybe then not have the crank/trany problems or am o just dreaming again.By the way had stock pipe on rebuilt engine now q-pipe and this thing pulls like crazy. Said hybrd on hold and putting 250 in that frame since mine now looks like pretzel lol.

i was told to ask you about the skill level required to split the cases and rebuild a broken tranny.my boy and i were at the dunes and i noticed a ratcheting effect in second gear and when he came back thirty mins later second was now second neutral if ya catch my drift.i was wondering if someone made stronger gears as i only want to do this once or pay for it once as the case may be,any sugestions would be greatly appreciated

Get a burgard, there cheaper and as good or go on line to Lonestar, vendors dont list this carrier. Now I see what the confusion was.

if you go on ebay or look in catalogs they list lonestar carriers for honda 400ex or yamaha or honda 450r ect but dont see one for a custom app didnt know are all lonestar brand carriers the same or this there just as may carriers as there are 4-wheeler models if thats the case what do i buy a carrier for
